Hei, I'm Annemari.
I'm a photographer and mum of two living in Heggedal, originally from South Africa.
I spent more than a decade photographing families and weddings before taking a break from professional photography. But I missed it, and over the years I've also come to appreciate just how important it is to have good photographs of your own family spending time together.
As the children grow older, there are so many little things you start to forget. The games they used to play, their expressions, the things you did together without giving them much thought at the time. I love how a photograph can bring those details back.
It's one of the reasons I'm excited to be photographing families again.
How I like to work
I've always preferred watching what people do rather than arranging everything for a photograph. I'm interested in how people interact, the little things going on around them, and the moments you couldn't really plan even if you tried.
That doesn't mean you'll be left wondering what to do, though. I'll happily give you some guidance when it's useful, and we can always make time for a few photographs of everyone together.
Having two children of my own, I'm also quite used to things not going according to plan.
A little more about me
When I'm not behind the camera, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, going for walks, gardening and being creative in one way or another.
